Are you passionate about safeguarding children and promoting equality in education? Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding and Equalities Officer to join our dynamic Children & Family Services (Education) directorate. This is a pivotal role supporting schools and education establishments to ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, equalities responsibilities, and training requirements.

We are looking for somebody who:

has a strong understanding of safeguarding and equalities legislation and best practice can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including schools, social care, police, and health services is confident in providing advice, training, and support to senior leaders and governing bodies has experience in attending and contributing to multi-agency safeguarding forums is committed to continuous professional development and promoting a culture of safety and inclusion
