The Mead Educational Trust is an energetic and dynamic family of fifteen primary, secondary and special schools in and around Leicester. Brook Mead Academy is the newest school in TMET, following on from the successful opening of Castle Mead Academy in September 2019. Brook Mead builds on the outstanding provision enjoyed at our flagship secondary school, Rushey Mead Academy, which far exceeds national averages for progress and attainment, placing it year after year in the top 5% of schools nationally.

We are looking for a Safeguarding Officer who will join our friendly team to support scholars to achieve and thrive.


This is a unique opportunity to join a committed and talented team in a brand-new school which has moved to a state-of-the-art new building in 2025. Our school was judged outstanding by Ofsted in March 2024. Staff wellbeing is a priority with constant vigilance around workloads. Salary: Grade 7 (actual 30,813.00 to 33,259.00 per year)



Hours of work: 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year. 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3:30pm on Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak each day.
