Reporting to the Safety & Compliance Monitoring Manager (SCMM), the Safety and Compliance Assistant will assist and support in ensuring air safety, compliance management and general site health and safety across both the Oxford and Alhama campuses.

An effective and forward-thinking Safety and Compliance team is essential to ensuring Leading Edge Aviation offers training of the highest standard, enabling us to deliver an exceptional student experience while upholding our commitment to a culture of safety, innovation and operational integrity.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based at our Oxford Campus. Some home working may be possible.

Role Duties





In all areas to assist and support the SCMM in:

Air Safety

The implementation of EASA/AESA/UKCAA and other relevant legislators AS policy; Promoting AS within Leading Edge, to include: Delivering an AS arrival brief for all new staff and students Using suitable promotional material throughout Leading Edge Ensuring that all staff receive a basic level of AS knowledge Ensuring that any safety related occurrences (flight or ground) are recorded and reported in accordance with current legislation Investigating safety related occurrences and report the findings & recommendations to the Accountable Manager Taking every opportunity to promote a Just Culture as part of the overall Safety Culture in Leading Edge

Compliance Monitoring


Maintaining the Compliance Monitoring System in association with current (and relevant) National Aviation Authority (NAA) regulations Ensuring the continuous monitoring of the Company's activities to ensure compliance with the company procedures and relevant NAA regulations Undertaking a programme of auditing in association with current regulations Monitoring audit reports, customer feedback and safety reports/actions

Health & Safety and Environment

Carrying out Health and Safety briefings for all new staff and Students Maintaining safe work procedures and ensure they are adhered to, completing full Risk Assessments on all Leading Edge facilities and other Health and Safety checks, including (not limited to): Fire Risk Assessments; Workplace Risk Assessments; General Risk Assessment (Open Days HSE Assessment; Manual Handling; Asbestos Register review Supporting staff and students in complying with the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations Ensure that Leading Edge Aviation complies with UK environmental regulations

Administration

Assist with general academy administrative duties as required Demonstrate and uphold the company's core values in all actions, decisions, and interactions.

Other requirements:

Experience in the Aviation industry would be beneficial Able to travel to Alhama in Spain on an occasional basis Demonstrable alignment with the company's core values in attitude, conduct, and work ethic.
