Locations

: Flexibility for a combination of home, office and site based work, Field locations will vary but will largely be across the English Midlands, East and South East. As the role develops, increased travel will be required.

The Role



This is a hands-on, multi-faceted position that requires a proactive and organised individual with a strong understanding of SHEQ principles. You will be supporting the SHEQ Manager ensuring our high standards in H&S, environmental impact and quality management for the business are consistently met and improved through best practice, while maintaining certification and compliance in accordance with our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.

There is flexibility for working from home or one of our offices, site based work is expected for 1-2 days per week in the field.

Key Responsibilities



Provide support to SHEQ Manager Conduct regular safety audits, workplace/site inspections, and risk assessments across the business Managing and maintaining the company's SHEQ controls and registers Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics and contribute to departmental improvement plans Ensuring site-specific RAMS are written, reviewed and available prior to site start-up Conducting detailed accident and incident investigations Provide advice and training to promote a strong safety and quality culture Suggesting improvements to working practices Completing office audits and ensuring ongoing compliance with safety regulations Review & draft company risk assessments, policies and procedures Ensuring environmental audits are completed and environmental controls are effectively managed, including permits to pump, dust suppression and ecological considerations Supporting the maintenance of SHEQ standards aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & 45001 Taking ownership of quality matters, including incidents, documentation and quality system maintenance.

Essential Criteria:



IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and advise professionally at all levels Accurate and professional written skills Experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or a related industry Full, valid UK driving licence Microsoft Office skills, including competency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and a willingness to learn and adopt modern technologies

Desirable Qualifications



NEBOSH General Certificate IOSH Membership (TECH IOSH or above) NEBOSH Construction NEBOSH Environmental Management
