We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes. Duties
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of ingredients and manage inventory levels effectively
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Monitor kitchen operations during service periods to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality experience
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety regulations
Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure during busy service times
Leadership qualities that motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Good understanding of hospitality standards and customer service excellence
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications preferred but not essential depending on experience
