Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medical examinations, assessments, and reviews for patients across all age groups.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, with timely referral to secondary care services when indicated.
Develop and monitor personalised treatment plans, including the management of complex, multi-morbidity cases.
Collaborate proactively with nursing home staff, community teams, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Deliver home-based care and contribute to palliative and hospice services, prioritising patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Appropriately utilise medical imaging and diagnostic tools to inform clinical decision-making.
Support and participate in public health initiatives, preventative health screening, and patient education programmes.

In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology, informing high standards of clinical care.
Proficiency in patient management across multiple healthcare settings, including ICU exposure where relevant.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and clarity with patients, families, and professional colleagues.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
A compassionate, respectful approach to the unique healthcare needs of elderly patients and those with complex care requirements.
Competence in the use of electronic health record systems (e.g., EMIS Web, SystmOne) to support clinical and administrative efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex clinical presentations methodically and effectively.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum two years' experience as a qualified General Practitioner.
Current registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List.

Demonstrated experience of achieving high standards of QOF performance and contributing to CQC quality assurance processes.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the educational growth of GP registrars and medical students.
