Job Summary
The post-holder will provide high-quality general medical services to registered patients of The Paddock Surgery. The role includes clinical consultations, clinical administration, and participation in practice and PCN activities. The successful candidate will work within a supportive team environment and contribute to the ongoing development of practice services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based general medical care
Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
Undertake home visits as required (shared rota)
Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services
Prescribe in accordance with local and national guidelines
Clinical Administration:
Manage clinical correspondence, pathology results, and workflow via SystemOne
Complete medical reports, insurance forms, and other clinical documentation
Contribute to QOF, enhanced services, and clinical audit activity
Safeguarding & Governance:
Comply with GMC standards, CQC regulations, and practice policies
Identify, manage, and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately
Participate in significant event analysis and clinical governance processes
Team & Practice Contribution:
Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing staff, ARRS roles, and the wider PCN team
Attend and contribute to practice meetings and training sessions
Support service development and quality improvement initiatives
Professional Development:
Maintain revalidation and appraisal requirements
Participate in continuing professional development (CPD)
Engage in mandatory training and reflective practice
Person Specification:
Essential:
Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and license to practise
Inclusion on the GP Register
Experience working in UK general practice
Competence in using System One clinical system
Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
Ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team
Commitment to patient-centred care, quality, and safety

6 sessions per week
Session structure and working pattern to be agreed
