Salaried Gp

Northampton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward thinking team for 6-8 sessions per week. This role is available as we say goodbye to a much valued Salaried GP who is relocating, and as our former Senior Partner retires fully from practice after continuing in a salaried capacity. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, supportive, and well-established practice with future potential for partnership for those who are interested.

Salary: 11,300 - 11,800 per session, depending on experience. Expectation to take on a patient list in line with our list-based continuity model. Employed under the BMA Model Salaried GP Contract. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview on 30th of July 2025 at Whitefields surgery.

Why Join Eleanor Cross Healthcare?

Eleanor Cross Healthcare is a thriving GP partnership spanning Delapre Medical Centre and Whitefields Surgery, delivering high-quality care to over 19,500 patients in the southwest of Northampton. We are part of the The Arc Hub PCN and have a strong team-based approach, supported by a wide multidisciplinary workforce.

We are proud to be a GMC-accredited training practice with a well-established training ethos and a commitment to professional development.

What We Offer

GP Training Practice: Currently training 6 GP Registrars and 1 FY2 doctor, with plans to expand to 8 Registrars, and a new GP would be supported in pursuing the new trainers course.

Supportive Environment: We foster a collaborative team culture with fair workload distribution.

Administrative workload is reduced through robust support from allied health professionals.

Pharmacy team handles most prescribing and medication queries. Letters are pre-screened, coded, and only those requiring GP action are forwarded to the GP. Pathology results: Plans are underway for SystmOne Autofiling for pathology. Nursing support: Full minor illness team covering many areas of minor illness, as well as a dedicated Mental Health nurse specialist. Home Visits: The surgery has a dedicated home visiting GP Registrar, with low overall visiting rates
Research Opportunities: Designated as an NIHR RSI Level 1 Research Practice. Opportunities for involvement in clinical research and developing interests in this area.

Clinical Systems: We use Anima Electronic Triage system and TPP SystmOne and Accurx

CQC Status: Rated Good in 2025

Why Join Us?

We are a family-friendly practice committed to providing a supportive and rewarding environment. New GPs are encouraged to develop special interests, and newly qualified GPs are welcome to join, and will be supported by a named mentor.
