We are a well-established, forward thinking and friendly training practice with a practice list size of approximately 5,600 patients and a CQC rating 'Good'.
We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP to work 4 - 6 sessions per week.
We offer a competitive salary depending on experience and skills, this is negotiable.
The Tardis Surgery has a well-supported administrative and clinical team (including GP Partners, ANP, ACP, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Pharmacy technicians...)
We are also a well-established GP training practice with regular medical student placements from Keele University.
The practice uses EMIS Web, Docman, Accurx and the use of digital technology to enhance patient care and efficient working
We are part of a well-functioning Primary Care Network and as part of our PCN recruited several additional practitioners including Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Nurses, Social Prescriber and Care Coordinators
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to determine health status.
Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions, providing appropriate medical interventions.
Administer medications and oversee medication management for patients.
Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Provide guidance on public health issues and promote preventive health measures.
Engage in clinical research activities as required, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Offer support and care for senior patients, including those in hospice or nursing home settings.
Deliver home care services as needed, adapting to the unique requirements of each patient.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting.
Experience in medication administration, particularly for chronic conditions.
Understanding of nursing home operations and patient management.
Commitment to public health initiatives and community health education.
Experience in the primary care setting is essential.
Support with QOF outcomes is desirable.
