Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join the welcoming and well-established team at Presteigne Medical Centre, part of the Shropdoc family. This is more than a clinical role, it's an opportunity to shape new models of rural primary care and make a real impact on local communities.

The successful post-holder will work as a salaried GP providing primary care for approximately 3,600 patients. Presteigne is part of the Mid-Powys Primary Care Cluster, which has a combined list size of around 31,000 patients.

Deliver high-quality clinical care via consultations, triage, and home visits. Manage long-term conditions and supervise clinical staff. Prescribe in line with local and national guidance. Contribute to audits, governance, and quality improvement. Mentor and lead within a multidisciplinary team. Full GMC Registration with License to Practice. Relevant higher degree ie: MRCGP or equivalent. On the GMC GP Register & Welsh Medical Performers List. Experience in NHS General Practice & Primary Care. Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent). Excellent communication, IT, and team-working skills. Ability to work flexibly and commit to on-call duties.
