We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our large multi- sited healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical practices and the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to diagnose medical conditions.
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance medical knowledge and practice.
Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
Engage in public health initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes.
Utilise medical imaging techniques as necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Offer specialised care for seniors, including hospice and palliative care when required.
Clinical Responsibilities: In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Reporting potential risks identified.
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution with a valid medical licence to practice in the UK.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
Experience in nursing home or senior care environments is beneficial.
Familiarity with home care practices is an asset.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
