Due to retirement, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our welcoming and supportive team at Stickney Surgery.
We are a well-established, rural practice serving a patient population of approximately 6,000. Rated 'Good' in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), our team operates from a modern, purpose-built facility with a busy, on-site dispensary.
Our multidisciplinary clinical team includes:
2 GP Partners
1 Salaried GP
3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
4 Practice Nurses
1 Health Care Assistant
1 Phlebotomist
The team is supported by experienced professionals across management, dispensary, and patient services. We use the SystmOne clinical system and are active members of the First Coastal Primary Care Network (PCN).
The Role
Position: Salaried GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Sessions: 6 to 8 sessions per week, including on-call duties
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: November /December 2025

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments as needed
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding healthcare management and preventive measures
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
