Salaried Tutor Independent School With Alternative Provisions

Job Description

Tutor at Creative Education Charity

We are currently going through an exciting period of expansion, with plans to open a brand new Learning Hub in South London in September this year. As a result, we are growing our team of teachers and support staff. We will be able to help more young people and offer a more complete educational experience than ever before. If you would like to be part of this journey, we would love to hear from you.

Who We Are

We are an alternative school and education charity working with London\'s most vulnerable young people. Since we were founded in 1999, thousands of children and families have benefitted from our nurturing and creative approach to education. Students come to us when mainstream school has not worked out for them. This can be due to a number of factors including mental health, special educational needs, trauma and physical illness. We design a unique programme of education and wellbeing support for every student, helping them to rebuild their confidence and discover a new passion for learning.

Our core values are Creativity, Open Mindedness, Individuality and Holistic Education. If you share these values, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

We are looking for tutors to work on a one to one basis with young people, teaching in students\' homes, public spaces, and our specially designed Learning Hubs. Each tutor is supported by a team of education specialists, including a qualified teacher who acts as their mentor. We have spent many years developing an engaging and enriching curriculum, as well as sector-leading wellbeing support. Tutors play a vital role in helping our students to learn creatively, grow socially and achieve academically.
