Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Sales Administrator
to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient processing of customer orders, providing excellent customer service, and supporting both our sales representatives and internal operations. Key Responsibilities
Order Processing
Accurately process orders received via tickets, email, and phone.
Ensure all orders are entered into the system correctly and in a timely manner.
Follow up on incomplete or unclear orders with customers or sales reps.
Customer Service
Handle incoming customer calls and emails regarding product queries, order updates, and service issues.
Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate when required.
Provide accurate information on stock availability, delivery lead times, and product details.
Logistics & Delivery Coordination
Liaise with logistics partners to track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.
Monitor delivery schedules and keep customers informed of updates.
Escalate and manage any delivery delays proactively.
Accounts Administration
Monitor customer credit limits and highlight issues where necessary.
Take payments over the phone and process pro forma invoices.
Work with accounts to resolve unpaid, overdue, or on-hold orders.
General Administration
Maintain accurate records of all orders.
Ensure queries relating to unpaid or past-dated orders are resolved quickly.
Allocate new customers to the correct sales representative.
Sales Support
Assist sales reps by checking stock, managing order queries, and providing delivery ETAs.
Help handle customer complaints and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Provide administrative and operational support to enable sales teams to focus on business growth.
Skills Required
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Confident in dealing with customers and handling complaints.
Proactive problem-solving ability.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
Competent IT skills (order management systems, spreadsheets, and email).
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in order processing, customer service, or administration (preferably in wholesale or distribution).
Experience working alongside logistics and/or accounts teams is an advantage.
Knowledge of the flooring industry is desirable but not essential.

Base salary: 24,500 per annum
