The Sales Administrator role is to provide proactive sales support and exceptional customer service across Gill Instruments and Gill Sensors & Control, working closely with the Business Development Management team and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process.
Duties
Working with Business Development Manager (BDM) and customers to provide world class customer service.
Understand pricing structure and how to raise quotes to customers.
Working in collaboration with operations team to support on time delivery to the customer.
Keeping customer information updated within the CRM (salesforce)
Continually looking at ways to improve sales administration processes to further improve the customer experience.
Ownership of Order processing and management.
Taking responsibility to maintain relevant KPI targets and SLA's in relation to order processing and order acknowledgements.
Undertaking sales training to become a proactive and successful member of the sales team.
Undertaking technical training to be able to provide effective technical support.
Liaise and support production, accounts, shipping, technical support and purchasing.
Customer liaison and feedback, in respect of open orders.
Support to distributors, re-sellers, OEM's and end users (UK and overseas).
Skills
Collaborating with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to provide market and competitor insights.
Sharing customer feedback with the BDM to inform strategy and improvements.
Previous experience in sales support and administrative roles.
Contributing data and feedback to support team decision-making.
Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Experience with Syspro and Salesforce is desirable.
Good interpersonal skills, able to effectively work with team members and peers.
Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
Good communication skills using a variety of technologies including telephone and video call.
Experience or willingness to learn how to acquire new, commercially valuable, long-term customers.
Experience of using CRM systems to manage and communicate sales activity.
Highly organised and self-motivated individual with initiative.
Must be able to work in an office environment.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
