Role Overview
As a Sales Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Business Development Manager and Bid Manager with sales and business development activities.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating sales efforts, lead generation, managing customer inquiries, following up on completed estimates, and contributing to the growth of the company's market presence.
Knowledge of the construction or maintenance industry will be essential in understanding client needs and positioning our fire engineering services effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
: Provide administrative and logistical support to the Business Development Manager and Bid Manager in all sales-related activities and sales pipeline management.
Client Communication
: Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships throughout the sales process.
Market Research
: Conduct research on potential clients, competitors, and industry trends to identify business opportunities and provide valuable insights to the Business Development Manager.
Lead Generation
: Identify and qualify potential new clients through research, outbound outreach, networking, and proactive prospecting to ensure a strong and consistent pipeline of opportunities for the sales team.
CRM Management
: Utilise the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track leads, update client information, and generate reports for analysis.
Networking and Events
: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the company's professional network and promote our services.
Sales Collateral and Marketing Materials
: Assist in developing sales collateral, presentations, and marketing materials that effectively showcase our fire engineering services.
Divisional Coordination
: Collaborate with representatives from the 3 divisions to align sales strategies, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the fire engineering or construction industry
Experience in working towards sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
Experience in handling both inbound and outbound phone calls
Full UK driving licence
Strong IT Skills required
