We are main dealers for many of the world's largest brands including Case IH, Ransomes Jacobsen, Iseki, Stihl, Husqvarna etc.
Our products range from smaller push mowers & hand held equipment; ride on mowers, small compact tractors, specialised turf machinery, to large tractors & attachments.

Sales Advisor
operating out of our dedicated
Horticultural / Grass Machinery Showroom
based at our Wigan depot. The ideal candidate must be keen to learn our company systems & to develop their product knowledge through manufacturers on-line & face-to face learning programs.
Interest or knowledge of grass machinery, experience of operating such equipment or being mechanically minded would be advantageous.
Role Purpose:
Engaging with customers, understanding their needs & provide appropriate product recommendations. Guiding them through the sales process; from an initial inquiry to final sale which may involve demonstrating equipment, raising quotes etc.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the showroom, including assisting in the ordering, receiving & assembly of stock; maintaining displays & product promotions; & liaising with manufacturers.
Assisting in promoting the company & its products via social media platforms through posting informative & engaging content.
Duties will also include the managing of our machinery products on-line ( Company website & eBay shop ). Typically this would involve the taking & uploading of machinery images, writing descriptions, responding to inquiries & processing orders.
Responsibilities and Duties
Establishing customer's needs & guiding them through the sales process
. Maintaining stock levels - including ordering, receiving & assembly of stock
Maintaining sales information and displays
Marketing products via social media platforms through assisting in the regular posting of content.
Managing on-line machinery sales, including uploading images/descriptions, responding to enquiries & processing orders.
. Carry out demonstrations of new machinery, both on & off site
Handling product orders through the showroom, on-line, telephone & email
. Delivery & installation of larger machinery
Attending manufacturer training either on-line or off-site
Liaising & maintaining relationships with suppliers & customers
. Work closely with other departments including parts, service & other sales representatives.
Ensuring departmental cleanliness

Essential Skills/Experience:
Good communication skills: face to face, telephone & email
Organisational skills & attention to detail
General computer skills and familiarity with email, internet & social media
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Demonstrable knowledge of agricultural and/or groundcare machinery preferred
Full driving licence
A team player-capable of working alone or with the broader Sharrocks team
Maintaining a smart and professional appearance incorporating Company attire
