We are now looking for an experienced
Internal Sales Account Manager
to take ownership of an established customer portfolio following the departure of a long-standing team member.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing and growing an existing base of high-value customers while also developing new business through outbound sales activity.
Overview
This role is focused on the management of
approximately 50 key accounts and 100 smaller active accounts
, ensuring excellent service, strong retention, and continued revenue growth.
While this is primarily an office-based role, there will be
occasional visits to key customer sites as required
to support relationship development and account growth. A company car is not provided, however
business mileage will be fully reimbursed.
Strong Salesforce CRM experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Retention
Manage and grow a portfolio of key and smaller customer accounts
Act as the primary commercial contact for your customers
Build long-term relationships with purchasing, engineering and operational stakeholders
Prepare quotations, process orders and manage follow-ups
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Re-engage dormant and underperforming accounts
Attend key account visits when required
New Business Development
Conduct outbound sales calls and email campaigns
Develop new accounts and convert enquiries into long-term customers
Expand penetration within existing territories
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate records and pipelines in
Salesforce
Track activities, forecasts and opportunities
Provide regular performance reporting
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with production, operations and customer service teams
Support marketing and sales campaigns
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in B2B sales or account management
Proven Salesforce CRM experience (essential)
Experience selling machine knives or industrial cutting tooling is a strong advantage
Background in manufacturing, engineering, recycling, plastics or processing industries highly desirable
Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
Organised, self-motivated and target driven
Comfortable managing a large account base

40,000 - 45,000 basic salary
8,500 annual bonus for achieving targets
