Polar Technology is seeking a proactive Sales and Estimating Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovation-driven team. You'll play a key role in converting opportunities into business wins-interacting with customers, generating accurate cost estimates, and supporting new projects through to launch.


This is more than just a quoting role-you'll be at the heart of how we win work, collaborate across departments, and deliver cutting-edge engineering solutions across industries including Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Energy, and Motorsport.

What You'll Be Doing

Building trusted relationships with customers and understanding their needs. Creating detailed costings and quotations across composite and metallic assemblies. Collaborating with teams in Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality. Leading the estimating process for new enquiries across all value streams. Challenging assumptions to ensure profitable, competitive bids. Supporting internal business cases and external tenders. Contributing to a continuous improvement culture within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What We're Looking For

Experience in a technical sales, estimating, or engineering role within manufacturing. Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen (costing, margins, BOMs, etc.). Solid understanding of manufacturing processes-composites and/or metallics. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification (preferred). ERP experience (SAP Business One highly desirable). Flexible, detail-focused, and thrives under pressure.
