Job Title: Sales & Events Administrator (with Housekeeping Support)

Location: Thornton Manor Country Estate

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent

Salary: 24,000-27,000 depending on experience

About the Role



Thornton Manor Country Estate is seeking a proactive, organised and flexible Sales & Events Administrator to join our passionate team during an incredibly exciting time of growth. This unique role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment and wants to play a key part in creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Your primary focus will be supporting the delivery of exceptional weddings and events through effective administration, customer service and sales support. However, as part of a close-knit team, you'll also play a valuable role supporting our Housekeeping team during peak periods to ensure our Manor House and accommodation remain immaculate for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Events Administration



Respond to new wedding and event enquiries, guiding clients through the full booking journey

Conduct bespoke venue viewings and maintain excellent product knowledge

Assist with event planning, from logistics to supplier coordination

Support the team on event days, providing front-facing customer service and ensuring smooth delivery

Process payments and liaise with accounts on debtors

Manage inboxes, phone enquiries and general administrative duties

Assist with website and social media updates, working alongside the marketing team

Support with the check-in process for on-site accommodation

Housekeeping & Operational Support (as required)



Assist with turnaround of guest accommodation (14 cottages & 7 Manor House bedrooms) during peak periods

Conduct light cleaning duties (dusting, tidying, restocking) when needed to support the Housekeeping team

Help identify and report maintenance or cleanliness issues

Support set-ups for weddings and events including styling, laying tables and turning rooms around

Maintain high attention to detail and pride in all presentation aspects of the Estate

Ideal Candidate



Previous experience in hospitality, weddings or events (admin or planning)

Confident communicator with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service ethic and a passion for creating memorable experiences

High attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure

A team player with a "muck in" attitude - no task too big or too small

Comfortable occasionally working across departments, including light housekeeping

Proficient in MS Office and familiar with booking or CRM systems

Experience with social media or content creation (preferred but not essential)

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and peak event dates
