Job Description

Thornton Manor Country Estate is looking for a dynamic, sociable and well organised Sales and Events Co-ordinator to help our dedicated and passionate events team create the most magical and memorable experiences for all guests.

2024 sees the highly anticipated re-opening of our iconic Manor House, which has played host to some of the most beautiful Weddings and Events for over 25 years.

You will have the unique opportunity to help shape the future of a prestigious Wirral venue, propelling the historic Estate in to a new era.

Reporting to our Head of Events and Business Development, you will help manage the full client journey from initial enquiry, through the planning process, to the operational delivery of the event and post event evaluation. You will also play an integral role in the marketing of the business, and assisting with the planning and organisation of corporate and social events.

Main responsibilities:



Deal with enquiries and maximise revenue through conversion and upselling Liaise with clients to gain a full understanding of their requirements in order to build an accurate and detailed brief for the event, as well as being able to advise relevant planning tips, supplier recommendations and upsell opportunities Conduct tailor-made viewings of the venue Research and sell the facilities to new markets and contacts Be the main point of contact for the venue on event days, dealing with client and guest queries and having the ability to time manage and troubleshoot to ensure everything runs smoothly to the clients brief Take payments and chase debtors as required Assist with the marketing of the venue, including social media and website updates Assist with the check in procedure for our on-site accommodation Liaise with all departments relating to events being held Assist with general office duties and cover reception when required Be a team player and support other departments as required during busy periods

Required skills:



An outgoing and sociable personality, driven by a passion for events, hospitality and outstanding customer service Previous experience in events or hospitality Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues An immaculate eye for detail Ability to work to tight deadlines Friendly, courteous and helpful, with excellent communication skills Computer literate, ideally familiar with Excel, Word and booking systems Social Media and Marketing experience preferred (inc. Facebook Business Page and Social Media / Google Ads)
This position is full time and office based. Hours to be agreed but will include weekend and evening work as required by the business.

28 days paid annual leave

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Salary: circa 26,000 - 28,000, negotiable dependant on experience.
