The Role
This role is primarily focused on answering customer enquiries and processing orders, with a secondary element of proactive sales support to existing customers.
This is an ideal role for someone who is confident on the phone, comfortable using computers and email, and enjoys helping customers. An interest in golf or golf products would be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Processing:
Answering incoming phone calls in a professional and confident manner
Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
Taking customer orders over the phone and processing them accurately on the system
Managing orders received via email and webstore
Providing a high level of customer service to customers worldwide
Sales Support:
Proactively contacting existing customers (no cold calling)
Checking if customers need assistance with current or future orders
Informing customers of relevant products and opportunities
Supporting overall sales performance across key markets
General Responsibilities:
Supporting the Commercial Manager and wider team
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient order handling
Contributing ideas to improve customer service and sales processes
About You
You will be a confident and professional individual who enjoys speaking with customers and delivering a high standard of service. You are comfortable using computers and email, accurate when processing orders, and able to manage multiple enquiries in a busy environment. You take pride in helping customers, communicate clearly, and are motivated to support sales by proactively working with existing customers. An interest in golf or golf products would be an advantage.
Essential:
Previous experience in a sales and/or customer service role
Confident, professional telephone manner
Strong computer skills, including regular use of email.
Accurate and organised, with experience processing customer orders
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Calm, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure
Desirable:
An interest in golf or the golf industry
Playing golf or having basic knowledge of golf products
Experience using order-processing or ERP systems (e.g. Sage200) and Excel
Qualifications & Experience
No formal qualifications required
Sales & service experience preferred but not essential, training can be provided
