Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our Rolys Fudge team in Looe. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service during our afternoon and evening trade. The ideal candidate will assist with sales processes, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires a proactive individual who is able to work as part of a team and also on their own in the retail environment. The role involves making sure closing procedures and routines are followed and being able to lock up the shop securely at the end of trade. The candidate must be aged 18 or over.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services they require. Provide knowledgeable information about products, promotions, and store policies. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale. Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and arranging displays. Being able to wrap and pack gift boxes and bags (Training given). Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. A friendly and approachable demeanour, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required. Although the shifts will be 1.30pm - 9.30pm there must be a flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends. The candidate must be fully available to work throughout the school Summer holidays.
