We are seeking a motivated and friendly Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases. Efficiently process transactions using the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments. Sell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable items. Upsell additional products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain an organised checkout area, ensuring it is clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves, date rotation on stock and reporting low stock levels.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent time management abilities to handle peak hours efficiently. Organisational skills to maintain a tidy workspace and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally. Experience in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. A friendly demeanour with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
