The difference you will make as Sales Consultant



As a New Homes Sales Consultant, you will play a vital role in selling shared ownership homes to eligible buyers across a range of new developments in London. You will be the first point of contact for prospective purchasers, guiding them through the buying journey from initial enquiry to handover and completion. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong interpersonal, organisational, and sales skills. Ideally in this role you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders pre-launch to ensure sales and marketing material is available, also you will proactively manage sales enquiries via phone, email, online portals, and in person.

Successful track record selling homes and strong understanding of new homes sales In depth knowledge of industry legislation. Knowledge of the conveyancing process and legal requirements related to property transactions Excellent oral and written communication skills Customer focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high quality service Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple sales pipelines Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an enthusiastic and positive approach.

Role Profile



Liaise with internal and external stakeholders pre-launch to ensure sales and marketing material is available Proactively manage sales enquiries via phone, email, online portals, and in person. Qualify applicants for shared ownership in line with eligibility criteria and affordability assessments. Conduct viewings with customers on site. Guide customers through the shared ownership sales process with clarity, empathy, and professionalism. Progress sales through the conveyancing period through to legal completion Liaise with internal teams, mortgage advisors, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completions, and 28 day exchange deadlines are met Provide regular updates to buyers throughout the customer journey. Maintain accurate CRM records and update sales reports as required. Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience at every stage. Achieve individual and team sales targets across multiple developments. Support open days, launches, and marketing events as needed (occasional evenings and weekends may be required). Ensure corporate annual financial year targets are met Ensure price lists and documentation is kept up to date Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss progress of sales, highlight risk and challenges Support the Sales Manager by providing updates on sales progression and customer satisfaction within weekly sales reports, highlighting challenges and achievements Ensure sales comply with policies and housing regulations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions on internal CRM systems Understand GLA and Homes England funding requirements Understand Shared Ownership tenure and affordability/ eligibility requirements It is important that the post holder can quickly identify and report issues Ensuring completions meet compliance with Homes England grant funding and the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) Deliver excellent customer service achieving KPI targets customer satisfaction scores Support the Sales Manager and Head of Sales to prepare reports for Riverside's governance structures: for example, Group Board, Committees, Executive Directors. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations / legislation, especially for the functional area of responsibility. Ensure the New Homes Sales scheme activity reports are accurate and up to date (Spreadsheets, CRM and housing management systems) relating to ongoing and completed cases, (including CORE) Provide statistical data to internal stakeholders as requested and responding to any enquiries regarding this Work collaboratively with the wider Riverside Home Ownership team to ensure effective delivery of the service and to meet targets. Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support effective operation of the service. Ensure that all data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group's policy, procedures and statutory requirements. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications including Excel. Confident in learning and maximizing the use of in-house bespoke applications.

Desirable



A Post Graduate qualification or degree Qualification in property or housing management Understanding of legal regulations surrounding Leasehold properties Understanding of the context of social housing within the commercial sector Experience of working in a busy customer facing office with responsibility for own case load. Knowledge of the mortgage market Experience in Shared Ownership and affordable Home Ownership products * Full driving license and access to a car for business use
