Description



As a Sales Development Representative, you are responsible for prospecting both cold and warm employer data, converting inbound leads, and booking high-quality, qualified appointments for the sales team. The role sits at the front end of the sales funnel in order to ensure a consistent sales pipeline - critical to our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities




Proactively prospect cold and warm employer data via outbound calls, email, and LinkedIn Respond to and convert inbound leads into qualified sales appointments Qualify prospects against agreed criteria (need, eligibility, size, readiness to engage) Book high-quality appointments for Business Development Managers Clearly and confidently articulate the value proposition to open sales conversations Maintain accurate, timely CRM records covering activity, outcomes, and next steps Work closely with Sales and Marketing to maximise conversion rates across all lead sources Consistently achieve daily activity targets and monthly appointment KPI

Essential Experience




Experience in sales, telesales, SDR/BDR or lead conversion role preferred Proven ability to work towards activity and conversion targets CRM experience desirable (Salesforce ideal, not essential)




Essential Skills & Attributes




Confident and resilient communicator, comfortable with high-volume outbound calling Strong questioning and listening skills to quickly qualify customer needs Disciplined, organised and metrics-driven Commercially curious with a proactive mindset Positive, coachable and thrives in a target-led environment




Bonus Experience and Skills (Not essential - training will be provided)




Salesforce CRM experience, including lead management, activity logging and basic reporting Understanding of the funded training or apprenticeship landscape (or similar regulated/funded environments) Experience qualifying prospects against eligibility or compliance criteria Familiarity with working alongside marketing-led inbound lead generation Awareness of structured sales handover processes between SDRs and Account / Field Sales
