We're seeking a Sales Engineer to help our company grow. This position would be well suited to an individual who is interested in learning more about our industry and developing his or her networking skills. The successful candidate will work within our field sales team and take primary responsibility for B2B sales within a defined geographical region (London, Kent & Essex). Identifying, qualifying and engaging with new clients to develop business opportunities through use of phone, email and on-site visits, the individual will develop and maintain a new business sales pipeline of qualified leads, working to an agreed sales target.

We are a leading air filter manufacturer supplying the HVAC world of maintenance companies, contractors and end users. The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of HVAC, as you will be dealing with AHUs and ventilation systems.

Responsibilities:

- Primary responsibility for B2B Sales within SE sales region

- Identify, qualify & contact potential new clients to develop new business opportunities. Use of phone, email, virtual and face-to-face meetings to secure business

- Where necessary, contact existing clients to expand business opportunities

- Work with marketing tools to identify and qualify new business prospects

- Take responsibility for the development and ongoing maintenance of a new business sales pipeline of qualified leads, working to an agreed sales target

- Survey and measurement of existing installations of air filters and fan belts to provide bespoke recommendations to clients

- Prepare quotations and contracts to a high level of proficiency/accuracy to ensure that business interests are protected and opportunities maximised at all times

- Following up of quotations and liaison with internal sales/marketing resources

- Maintenance of business records including populating CRM system & updating a weekly/monthly reporting structure

Required attributes:

- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Candidates should have A-C (or 5-9) grades in maths & English to at least GCSE level. Competence & confidence in basic mathematics. Able to communicate complex concepts effectively both in person and through written documents.

- Confident and self-motivated

- Customer facing experience

- Able to work independently and under own initiative

- Quick-thinking and able to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines

- Ability to effectively manage & prioritise a diverse and complex portfolio of clients/prospects

- Ability to work competently with excel, word, powerpoint and CRM systems

- Strong analytical skills - listening and synthesising information

- Ability to multitask

- Aptitude for learning

- Full, clean driving license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 34,000.00-36,000.00 per year

Work Location: On the road
