You will combine engineering know how with consultative sales to win new business and grow key accounts for Trident's product portfolio across the UK and Ireland, with regular travel to customer sites.
This is a foundational role. You will be responsible for establishing and shaping Trident Technics' dedicated sales function, defining how we approach the market, engage customers, and convert opportunities. Initially, you will operate as a hands-on Sales Engineer managing the full sales cycle, while building the processes, structure, and strategy that will support future growth.
As the business expands, this role will naturally evolve into leading and developing the sales department, with responsibility for mentoring future hires and setting sales best practice across the company. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional to build a sales organisation from the ground up and play a key role in Trident's commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities:
Manage full sales cycle: prospect, technical scoping, quoting, negotiation, closing, and commissioning.
Produce accurate, commercial proposals (equipment + installation + commissioning).
Maintain & grow named accounts.
Provide technical product demonstrations; product specification to application.
Liaise with engineering, service, and procurement to ensure delivery and commissioning deadlines.
Maintain CRM, pipeline and sales forecasts; achieve target revenue and margin KPIs.
Travel UK wide; occasional international travel possible.
Essential (must have):
Engineering background (mechanical, electronics, fluid/chemical, or similar).
Proven track record in B2B technical sales.
Strong technical communication skills and able to translate customer needs into technical specification, and commercial proposal.
Experience preparing quotes and commercial terms.
Account management experience with evidence of growing revenue in named accounts.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel 40-60% (typical for UK wide role).
Desirable
HNC/HND/BEng or practical field engineering experience.
Experience with road tanker metering products and suppliers.
Knowledge of custody transfer standards, calibration traceability and site safety.
Familiarity with diesel/kerosene/chemical handling, UK/EU standards for carriage of dangerous goods.
