Reporting to the senior management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the company's growth strategy through measurable sales performance across UK & ROI markets This is a commercially accountable role with defined KPIs, targets, and pipeline ownership, combining sales development, estimating, and customer relationship management.
You will be responsible for achieving agreed revenue, margin, and pipeline targets, while developing long-term, value-driven relationships with both existing key accounts and new customers.
Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators
Achieve and exceed individual sales revenue and gross margin KPIs
Grow sales of the company's fire door and joinery product range across NI & ROI in line with agreed annual targets
Collaborate closely with the Glass & Aluminium Division to maintain a strong understanding of the full product portfolio, ensuring accurate cross-selling and informed product recommendations to clients.
Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and quotations, meeting turnaround-time KPIs from receipt of plans/specifications
Actively manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring sufficient coverage to meet quarterly and annual sales targets ensuring 100% data integrity
Convert qualified leads into orders in line with win-rate and conversion KPIs
Develop, manage, and retain key customer accounts, supporting repeat business and account growth targets
Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within defined target markets to support pipeline growth KPIs
Produce weekly and monthly performance reports covering Sales on Books, Sales Pending, pipeline value, and forecast accuracy
Provide technical product guidance to customers to support first-time-right quotations and reduce rework or errors
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve target margins while remaining competitive in the market
Work collaboratively with Sales and Production teams to align demand planning, capacity, and delivery schedules
Maintain up-to-date price lists and costings, supporting margin control and pricing accuracy
Maintain awareness of industry regulations and product developments to support technical competence KPIs
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, contributing to zero-incident objectives
Deliver consistently high customer satisfaction scores, supporting retention and referral targets
The Ideal Candidate
2-3 years' experience in a sales, estimating, or commercial role, ideally within construction or manufacturing sector
Demonstrable experience working to sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics
Commercially astute with strong numerical, forecasting, and analytical skills
Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable working in a performance-led, target-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional approach
Strong relationship management skills with a focus on account growth and retention
Confident IT user with experience in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and Sage Accounts or similar
Full, valid driving licence
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions to deliver shared KPIs
