Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and Sales Estimator to join our team in the fire door manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing estimates/quotes, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to deliver accurate and timely estimates that meet the needs of our projects.

Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and timelines. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Analyse historical data to improve future estimating accuracy. Prepare and present estimates to clients for approval. Update and maintain estimating databases and tools.

Skills

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent mathematical abilities for cost calculations. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
