The Role
The role is a full-time, permanent position and is
office-based in Rochdale working Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm
, focused on making outbound calls to businesses to drive growth. Here is how your apprenticeship will develop:
Early Stage - Learning the Basics
(First 3-6 months)
Make introductory calls to businesses to identify potential customers
Research companies and understand their shipping needs
Log customer details and manage information in our CRM system
Learn about our carrier services and how they benefit customers
Shadow experienced team members and learn from real sales conversations
Mid Stage - Building Your Skills
(6-12 months)
Support the sales team by preparing quotes and proposals
Learn how to explain our services confidently to decision-makers
Develop communication and persuasion techniques
Build strong relationships with potential customers and qualify leads
Gain commercial awareness and understand pricing strategies
Later Stage - Becoming a Sales Professional
(12+ months)
Take ownership of your own sales pipeline
Negotiate competitive rates and service agreements
Convert prospects into new customers and manage onboarding
Build lasting client relationships and deliver excellent service
Continue developing towards becoming a
fully-fledged Sales Executive
Training & Support
Your apprenticeship will be delivered in partnership with
HIT Training
, one of the UK's leading providers of sales apprenticeships. You'll benefit from:

A
Level 4 Sales Executive qualification
on completion, plus eligibility for
Sales Certification at Level 4
with the
Association of Professional Sales (APS)
To be successful in this Apprenticeship you will need:
GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths and English are essential.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Great communication and people skills
Self-motivated with a drive to succeed
Comfortable speaking to new people and building relationships
An interest in sales and business development
Sales or customer service experience in the transportation industry would be an advantage.
Your daily home to office commute should be no more the 45 minutes one way.
