Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium is one of Scotland's most iconic venues, hosting a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, dinners, and corporate events. We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Executive to help grow our non-matchday business by converting enquiries into confirmed events and proactively generating new opportunities.

This role is ideal for a confident salesperson who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.



What you'll be doing...

In the Sales Executive Conference & Events role, you'll be reporting to the Conference & Events Sales Manager, and duties will include the following:

Sales & Business Development

Respond promptly and professionally to inbound conference and event enquiries Proactively generate new business through outbound sales, networking, and client outreach Conduct clients show rounds and venue tours, showcasing the stadium's event spaces and capabilities Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and contracts to meet client needs Negotiate terms and close sales to achieve individual and team revenue targets

Account Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agents, and key stakeholders Upsell and cross-sell additional services such as catering, AV, branding, and accommodation Ensure a smooth handover of confirmed events to the planning and operations teams

Administration & Reporting

Accurately record all activity in the CRM system Maintain up-to-date pipelines, forecasts, and sales reports Keep strong knowledge of competitor venues and market trends

Working Pattern:

Monday - Friday | Occasional weekend and evening shifts | 37.5 Hours Per Week

What can you bring?



Essential:



Previous experience in sales, hospitality, events, or venue-based roles Strong communication and negotiation skills Target-driven mindset with a proven ability to close business Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Confident presenting to clients and conducting venue tours

Desirable:



Experience in conference & events or hotel/venue sales Knowledge of the Edinburgh or Scottish events market Familiarity with CRM systems
