The Role
We are seeking a driven and proactive
Sales Executive
to join our expanding sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who sees opportunity everywhere and is comfortable engaging with potential clients both over the phone and in the field. You will be responsible for driving new business growth by selling our tailored waste management services to commercial customers across the Ipswich area.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting:
Identify and generate new leads through a variety of methods, including cold calling, door knocking, networking, and utilising company data.
Sales Process Management:
Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal and ensuring a smooth handover to the operations team.
Target Achievement:
Meet and exceed set sales targets (both volume and revenue).
Consultative Selling:
Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer needs and provide bespoke, cost-effective waste solutions.
Relationship Building:
Develop strong, lasting relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
Market Awareness:
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant waste management legislation.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience:
Proven experience in a sales role is essential, preferably within the waste management, recycling, or environmental services sectors.
Skills:
A confident communicator with a persuasive manner and excellent negotiation skills.
Drive:
Highly motivated, target-oriented, and resilient, with a passion for achieving results.
Organisation:
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and a busy pipeline efficiently.
Attitude:
A proactive team player with a positive approach to work.
Licence:
A full UK driving licence is required (a company car or allowance is provided).
