We're looking for a Sales Executive




We're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our Concierge team. In this role, you'll be responsible for generating new business, achieving sales targets, and building strong client relationships. Your passion for slow travel will help you to craft bespoke journeys that excite our customers, manage the sales process and post-sale care, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. You'll build long-term relationships, looking after your customers right up until their departure, managing changes, offering upgrades, and ensuring a joyful experience.

Your key responsibilities



Craft amazing bespoke journeys:

Support the creation of tailor-made holiday experiences by qualifying inbound leads, understanding customer preferences and designing easy-medium builds, collaborating with senior team members to design more complex travel itineraries.

Take the initiative:

Contribute to re-engagement campaigns, including sending outbound emails and making calls to existing customers with some guidance.

Provide customer delight:

Manage the sales process from initial contact to deal close, ensuring a delightful customer experience, then manage interactions up to departure, including changes, questions, disruptions, and upsells.

Meet revenue and NPS targets

: Meet or exceed your individual sales revenue targets and ensure your trips delight your clients, as reflected in their NPS scores, including by collaborating with our ops and in-trip support teams.

Help our company grow:

Use customer feedback, and your own observations, to provide feedback on and insight into technical developments to further the team's efficiency.

Build relationships

: develop strong relationships with customers by providing friendly, helpful service and contributing to a memorable experience that encourages future bookings.

What we're looking for



Relevant experience:

Experience in a sales role with a customer-centric mindset and a drive to learn how to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent service.

Mission alignment:

A passion for slow travel with a few favourite routes in one or more Byway regions and a good working knowledge of European rail geography and connections.

Communication skills:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with potential and existing customers and respond to enquiries promptly and effectively, while learning how to build long-term relationships.

Attention to detail:

Attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through on commitments, even in a fast-paced environment.

Strong sense of individual accountability:

Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to take direction and learn from more experienced colleagues while contributing positively to the team.

Time management:

Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and use CRM software and sales tools to stay organised and increase efficiency as you develop your skills. A willingness to work weekends (on a rota system) and bank holidays in exchange for time back during the week.

What would be great (but isn't required)



Overland routing knowledge of a Byway region as a result of extensive travel in a personal or professional capacity. Competence in a European language other than English.

28,900 p.a. plus commission (32,000 OTE) Company ownership through equity Remote-first, flexible working: + 20 days wherever: work when you like and where you like for most of the month - we'll fund a day a week in a coworking space
+ 2 days together: join our team in the London office two days each month (a couple of exceptions per year is fine!)
One cost-price Byway holiday per year and agency rates with Eurostar for you and your family/friends An annual autumn Away Afternoon and optional Weekend Away in spring

The process




If we like your application, we'll schedule an initial call with Adam (Sales Lead). After that, there will be a take-home exercise, followed by a skills-based interview with our sales team. The final stage will be a values-based interview with Adam and Holly (CMO). We offer flexible scheduling for our multi-stage interview process and are open to adjustments based on candidate needs.
