At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives.



We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.



This role will be within our Metering team. You'll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.



Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40, 42 or 45 hours per week (flexible shifts between 8am-8pm, Monday to Sunday)

Salary: Starting from 25,397 (for 40 hours) + 0.40/hour allowance + monthly bonus

What will you be doing?

As a

Meter Reader / Sales Investigation Representative

, you'll be the face of M Group Energy in your community--visiting homes to investigate water supply issues, read meters, and help resolve billing queries. You'll be our eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring customers are supported and information flows back to our office teams accurately.



Your day will include:


Attending scheduled appointments and contacting customers en route Investigating high consumption, missing meters, and supply issues Reading meters and recording data accurately Managing your daily workload efficiently and independently Providing excellent customer service with a calm, professional approach

What you'll bring

A full UK driving licence (a van and PPE will be provided) Great communication and organisational skills Confidence working independently and outdoors Basic plumbing knowledge (helpful but not essential) Experience using handheld devices (PDA) - training provided Physical fitness for manual handling and accessing meters
