The Sales Leadwill be responsible for the co-ordination and execution of the Commercial Request for Quotation Process from receipt of RFQ through to receipt and loading of the Purchase Order of the Evtec Superlight Group to maintain a full orderbook month by month, develop the business' growth and manage the balance of its portfolio.
The role shall encompass control and management of the complete RFQ process internally and the optimization of the steps internally to enable fast, effective and accurate responses to the customers.
The role will cover all elements of the activities of Evtec Superlight including Patterns, Moulds, Composite and Metallics as well as outsourced components and assemblies.
Responsibilities
Co-ordinate the Project Team's quotation generation in response to customer enquiries, ensuring that a Programme Account Manager is connected to relevant internal departments and data records to generate RFQs that are accurate, deliverable and meet business commercial objectives, while complying with prescribed targets for presentation, response time and diligent follow-up protocols.
Strive for continuous improvement of speed and accuracy of RFQs, liaising with the Chief Commercial Officer on data-capturing of conversion rates, plus accuracy of successful RFQ vs actual project delivery to feed into the central database to improve quotation algorithms.
Ensure Sales Team create and accurately input enquiry and project information onto business system (Progress Plus), and secure relevant Purchase Orders on a timescale that both protects the business and expedites production to meet customer needs. This includes development & implementation of a standard template and method for creation of job packs to be provided to Production, including initial project briefings to hand over to Project Management with internal stakeholders.
Monitor and gauge customer satisfaction against delivery outcomes and experience sentiment, measure repeat customer trends and behaviours and, where appropriate, together with the Head of Projects, and as requested or required, liaise with key customer decision-makers to engender a successful long-term relationship.
Identification of key sales opportunities that secure new business and drive growth, not targeted by projects, liaising with the business to ensure forecasts allow for capacity extension where appropriate.
Oversight of dynamic pricing strategies deployed to balance maximisation of profit against securing orders to fill capacity and liaising with the business to ensure these strategies are deployed through the Project Team's pricing mechanisms.
Deliver to the CCO regular updates on status of all the customer relationships, and support CCO in determining optimum strategies to strengthen existing relationships and order-flow, increase share of wallet with existing customers, and capture new business in line with company goals and objectives.
Champion adherence to the Company Policies through the Project Team and be responsible for forging the Project Team into a motivated and collaborative high-performance team that is committed, as individuals and a group, to meeting business objectives and customer requirements.
Liaise with the Head of Manufacturing (and/or Production Planner) to ensure they are aware of current and prospective customer orders, consult on production-plan creation and changes to best manage delivery expectations across the customer base, and verify available production capacity for RFQ submissions.
Co-ordination of the customer relationship management experience, driving & developing a timely approach from engagement to quotation, through to secured orders to ensure the business delivers to the highest standards on all its core customer relationship management activities. Assist in Managing the Programme Account Managers' day-to-day communication with customer (buyers), ensuring individual needs are met to the high standards expected of Evtec Superlight, while also maintaining - at one-tier above - a parallel and direct relationship with the customer representatives (buyers and/or senior buyers) to support the Programme Account Manager and monitor overall customer satisfaction.
Oversight of commercial monitoring and forecasts to ensure a maximized orderbook month on month across all business functions aligned with capacity & capability, providing key stakeholders with an accessible snapshot & visibility for strategic operational planning. This includes mitigating risk by balancing across customers, sectors & regions in tandem with contrasting order types that mix fast turnaround jobs, medium project work and longer-term high-volume programmes.
Monitor & gauge customer satisfaction against delivery outcomes and experience sentiment, measure repeat customer trends and behaviours and liaise directly with key customer decision-makers to engender a successful long-term relationship. Help present this data with the CCO to the rest of the business to help the business develop and improve.
Support the CCO in the Development and maintenance of business' core T&Cs for engaging with customers, management of quotation templates and striving for optimised payment terms.
Support the CCO in the Execution of long-form agreements with OEMs where required to secure major projects.
Support the CCO with the Development, measurement, and management of the customer portfolio to mitigate risk by balancing its risk across customers, sectors, and regions, in tandem with selecting contrasting order types that mix fast turnaround jobs, medium-term project work and longer-term higher volume programmes.
Work with the quality department to ensure sales processes are standardised in line with the business and quality systems requirements
