Job Description

Ford Windows are recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, supporting credit control and cash allocation functions. This role is key to ensuring the financial health of the business assisting in the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.

The role is part time, between 16 to 20 hours per week depending on candidates preference. Salary offered is negotiable and based upon experience and aptitude for the job. Trainee's to be considered for the role also, this will be dependant on the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the sales ledger accurately and in a timely manner. Raise and issue customer invoices and credit notes in accordance with company procedures. Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently. Monitor and chase outstanding payments in conjunction with the credit control team. Allocate incoming receipts to the correct accounts. Process and post all sales ledger transactions to the accounting system. Provide customer account statements upon request. Assist in monthly and year-end financial closings. Liaise with internal departments and customers to resolve invoicing or payment queries.

Requirements:

Desirable experience in a similar sales ledger, accounts receivable, or finance clerk role. Or trainee's to be considered, for the right candidate. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.). High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. A proactive and team-oriented approach. AAT qualification (desirable but not essential).
