Sales Ledger Controller

Jewers Doors Limited is a well -established family business based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. It is an acknowledged world-leader in the design, manufacture and installation of aircraft hangar doors and other types of high-end doors. It boasts some of the world's largest doors in its recent portfolio.

Overview



In this varied role every day will be different. You will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, reviewing of employees expenses and credit cards and the posting of job costing hours. You will be required to assist in others areas of finance to cover holidays or during busier periods.

You will work as part of a small finance team of 4 with varying experience levels so there will be opportunities to support team members as well as continuing your own development. You will need to be a team player and be willing to assist in other areas if required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



At least 2 years proven experience of working in sales ledger/accounts receivable role is essential. Good knowledge of Sage 200. Good knowledge of CIS reverse VAT Microsoft Excel skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to prioritise and organise workloads. Effective communicator.

General scope of the role



To ensure all sales invoices are raised in an accurate nd timely manner as will as posted to the correct project codes in SAGE. Liaise with project managers to ensure billing is complete Checking the correct VAT rates have been applied. Setting up new customer accounts Chase debts and where applicable make applications for payments Prepare a month-end debtor analysis for distribution to project managers and to aid credit control activity. Allocate cash received. Administer the company credits cards and employee expenses, check receipts and post the costs onto SAGE Check receipts and post petty cash expenditure for our Dubai office.

Good organisation skills - you will be working to a monthly timetable with deadlines and will be expected to organise your time effectively to meet your objectives and compliment the team's goals. Accurate - in calculating, recording and checking of work.

Hours



37.5 hours per week.

Remuneration



30,000-34,000 per annum depending on experience.
This is a permanent position.
