Sales Representative - Exeter (Field Sales, Construction & Pricing)

Salary: 40,000 base + quarterly commission (5% of profit on self-sourced projects) - OTE 55,000-75,000

About Us

TM Roofing is a fast-growing, accredited roofing contractor with a strong reputation in the North West. We are now opening a new office in Exeter and seeking a proactive Sales Representative to drive growth across the South West.

We are looking for someone who not only excels in sales but also has solid construction knowledge, pricing experience, and office skills -- ideally with a background in roofing or building services -- so they can confidently win and manage work from enquiry through to delivery.

The Role

This is a client-facing, field-based sales role with added responsibility for pricing and office support. You will be responsible for building new client relationships, securing profitable projects, preparing quotations, and maintaining strong links with subcontractors and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and win new clients through proactive prospecting and face-to-face meetings.

Prepare and price quotations in line with company systems and client specifications.

Use office and CRM systems to manage leads, quotes, and sales pipeline.

Build strong relationships with housing associations, contractors, and commercial/domestic clients.

Maintain close contact with subcontractors and site teams to ensure sales promises are delivered.

Chase quotations and drive conversion to secured contracts.

Represent TM Roofing at networking events and client meetings.

Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets.

What We're Looking For

Experience in both sales and construction (roofing strongly preferred).

Strong office skills and proven experience in pricing/quotations.

B2B sales background with a track record of winning new business.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to liaise between sales, subcontractors, and operations teams.

Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently.

Full UK driving licence (regional travel required).

Desirable

Existing South West construction/roofing contacts.

Experience working with housing associations or large contractors.

What We Offer

40,000 base salary.

Quarterly commission: 5% of net profit on self-sourced projects (OTE 55k-75k+).
