As Trade Sales Manager, you will oversee both the strategic and operational aspects of sales across the UK. You will lead a team of field-based BDMs and coordinate closely with head office teams to deliver on ambitious growth targets. You will combine leadership, business acumen, and creativity to build lasting customer relationships and ensure Granada remains the supplier of choice in the secondary glazing market.
You will also manage your own sales territory while taking ownership of the bigger picture - shaping national strategy, supporting dealer networks, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
Lead and coach a team of regional BDMs, ensuring individual and team sales targets are met.
Develop and implement a sales growth strategy aligned with national objectives.
Manage key trade accounts and dealers and support business development opportunities with dealers across the UK.
Monitor and analyse sales KPIs; deliver regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide mentoring and support professional development.
Oversee internal trade team,
ensuring alignment between office operations and external sales activity to maintain seamless customer experience.
Drive pipeline development and conversion rates
, working closely with the team to identify, qualify, and close opportunities.
Create structured sales territory plans
, including visit schedules, account reviews, and prospecting strategies tailored to each region.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends,
adapting sales approaches and identifying new market segments or opportunities.
Collaborate with Production, the internal trade team, and Marketing
to ensure customer expectations are met from initial contact to final delivery.
Customer & Dealer Development
Maintain a hands-on approach with key clients and high-potential prospects.
Qualify and convert leads using our bespoke CRM system.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and requirements.
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
Ensure excellent after-sales support and long-term customer retention.
Support and grow a national dealer network - acting as both a sales leader and relationship manager.
Experience Required
Proven experience in sales management, ideally within building products, glazing, construction, or home improvement industries.
Experience and knowledge of Marketing/strategy, and how to implement this into a sales team.
Strong track record of growing trade and dealer accounts and leading regional teams.
Experienced in managing field-based staff and delivering regional performance metrics.
Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and customer-first approach.
Proficient in using CRM systems and confident in sales forecasting/reporting.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

This role will suit someone within the M4 triangle (Luton, Oxford, Reading, St Albans) with regular travel across the UK as and when required.
Salary is flexible and competitive for the right person, basic salary plus quarterly performance based bonus.
