We're a growing UK renewable energy business specialising in air conditioning, solar PV, and heat pump installations. We're seeking a hands-on
Sales Manager
to drive growth while providing strong leadership to a small, ambitious team. You'll oversee day-to-day sales activities, shape strategy, and motivate the team to deliver consistent results.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets, ensuring accountability and high performance.
Develop and execute sales plans across AC, solar, and heat pump services to deliver year-on-year growth.
Generate new leads and manage relationships with domestic and small commercial customers.
Manage the full sales cycle: enquiry handling, site survey coordination, quoting, and deal closure.
Develop and implement marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, social media, local advertising, and trade shows.
Produce accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and monthly performance summaries for management.
Collaborate closely with installation teams to ensure a smooth, high-quality customer journey.
Maintain strong technical knowledge of renewable technologies, MCS standards, and relevant UK incentives.
Support and develop junior or office staff, promoting cohesive team performance and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly & quarterly revenue targets across AC, solar, and heat pump installations.
Team performance metrics: individual target achievement and team-wide conversion rates.
Conversion rate from enquiry to closed sale.
Lead response time (e.g., contacting customers within 24 hours).
Average project value, supported by cross-selling and upselling.
Customer satisfaction via surveys or online feedback.
Accuracy of pipeline forecasting.
Marketing-driven lead generation performance, including digital campaigns and trade show leads.
Requirements
Proven sales experience in renewables, HVAC, or low-carbon heating -- ideally within a small UK business.
Leadership experience with a track record of driving strong team results.
Strong technical understanding of air conditioning, heat pumps, and solar PV systems.
Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage workload independently.
Awareness of UK renewable incentives, regulations, and industry standards (desirable).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer visits and local events.
