Job Description

John Barr Cars is seeking a personable and friendly Sales and Marketing Executive to join our team, selling used cars, Isuzu, Arctic Trucks, and an exciting new brand.

You'll be responsible for building relationships with our loyal customers, understanding their requirements, and engaging with them to help them choose the right car for their needs. You will also work closely with the Managing Director, sales team, and marketing support to expand our online presence and footprint in the Antrim area. You will engage with the full sales funnel, from lead generation to sales contracts, ensuring that our customers, both new and existing, have the best possible experience from the moment they hear about us.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and engage showroom visitors, offering guidance on new and used vehicles Lead customers through every stage of the sales funnel, from first enquiry to handover Conduct product demonstrations and test drives Photograph, video, describe and upload vehicle stock to the dealership website, Auto?Trader and other classified platforms Maintain the CRM database for follow-ups, referral opportunities and re-marketing Plan, promote and deliver in?dealership events and external activations (e.g., Balmoral Show), working with suppliers and the Managing Director to maximise footfall and leads Create and schedule multi-channel marketing content (email, social media, paid ads, sponsorships) and support ongoing SEO initiatives to drive web traffic Collaborate daily with the sales and service teams to ensure seamless customer journeys

Requirements

Be over 21 and hold a full driver's licence Have a minimum of 2 years working experience, preferably in marketing within automotive or retail Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Strong computer literacy, including general CRM systems Competence with a camera or smartphone for clear vehicle photography and short video capture Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a genuine interest in the motor?trade environment Friendly and personable, with the ability to speak well with clients and colleagues
