We are looking for a motivated and confident
Sales Representative
to grow our presence within the grocery wholesale channel. This role focuses on building strong relationships with independent retailers, cash & carry depots, symbol groups and foodservice wholesalers, while supporting brand visibility through hands-on trade marketing activity.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys field sales, account management and winning new business in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a defined sales territory, ensuring consistent coverage and prioritisation of high-value accounts
Identify and convert new business opportunities within independent retail and wholesale channels
Build strong relationships with buyers, depot managers and store owners
Negotiate pricing, promotions and commercial terms to achieve sales targets
Secure new product listings, increased distribution and shelf space
Plan and deliver depot promotions, sampling days and trade events
Represent the business at trade shows and regional industry events
Follow up leads and deliver effective product presentations
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales reports
Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends
Work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service teams
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards and basic administration
About You
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, organised and target-driven
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Commercially aware, with an interest in sales, marketing and brand development
Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Previous experience in FMCG, grocery wholesale, cash & carry or independent retail sales is preferred but not essential (full training provided)
