Steventon House Hotel is an independent boutique hotel with restaurant, bar, gardens and event space. We're entering an exciting growth phase and are looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Sales & Marketing Manager to drive revenue, visibility and bookings across weddings, events, food & beverage and accommodation.
This is a front-facing, on-site role for someone who enjoys hospitality, loves selling, and wants to make a real impact in a growing business.
The Role
You will be responsible for generating demand, converting enquiries and promoting the business, working closely with the owner (strategy & direction) and the FOH & Guest Experience Lead (delivery).
Key Responsibilities
Generate and convert enquiries for weddings, events, meetings, private dining, restaurant bookings and group accommodation
Proactively promote the venue locally and online
Manage a live sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up
Drive seasonal and key-date business (Christmas, Valentine's, themed events)
Handle wedding enquiries, show rounds, wedding fairs and open days
Prepare quotes and function sheets and coordinate event handovers
Manage social media (Instagram & Facebook) with real, engaging content
Run email marketing campaigns and OTA promotions (Booking.com, Expedia)
Keep website & google content, offers, menus and events up to date (WordPress)
Respond to all online reviews
Use technology and AI tools to improve enquiry handling, content creation and efficiency
Be visible on site and support busy services and events when required
Hours
40 hours per week, typically 5 days out of 7. Flexible working pattern depending on business needs. Some evenings and weekends will be required around events and weddings, with time off in lieu.
What We're Looking For
Experience in hospitality, events, weddings or a sales-driven environment
Confident communicator with a strong sales mindset
Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools and AI
Happy creating social media content (photos/videos)
Organised, proactive and commercially aware
Enjoys variety, responsibility and seeing direct results
