Sales & Marketing Manager

Along our journey, we've immensely proud to have launched Embankment Kitchen, our modern seasonal restaurant and bar, as well as Embankment Cafe Co., offering artisan coffees and freshly made cakes and sandwiches. As the
Sales & Marketing Manager
you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive occupancy, sales, revenue growth and brand presence for CitySuites, Embankment Kitchen and Embankment Cafe (serviced apartments, residential units, meeting & event spaces and food & beverage venues). The role combines sales leadership, marketing campaign management, budget control, team supervision and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the business meets the commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
o Develop and execute the sales strategy
o Identify, target and secure new business across appropriate segments (corporate, leisure, groups, residential tenants).
o Build and nurture key client relationships (travel agencies, corporate accounts, estate agents).
o Lead and coordinate site inspections, familiarisation trips, tours, and client visits to showcase CitySuites, Embankment Kitchen and Embankment Cafe.
o Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, special offers and promotional packages.
o Monitor sales pipelines, lead conversion, occupancy/lease uptake, and develop plans to address shortfalls.
Marketing & Brand Communication:
o Develop a marketing plan aligned with overall business objectives, including digital, social media, print, events and PR activities.
o Oversee creation of promotional materials, content, campaigns and communications.
o Manage and optimise online presence (website, social media, third-party listing sites, SEO/SEM) and ensure brand consistency.
o Develop and execute local and regional promotions to drive awareness, bookings/sales and occupancy/leasing.
o Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine marketing positioning and messaging.
Budgeting & Reporting:
o Prepare and manage the sales & marketing budget; allocate resources for campaigns, promotions and sales initiatives.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, average daily rate (ADR) or equivalent, revenue per available unit/lease (RevPAR-type), lead conversion rate, cost per acquisition, market share.
o Provide regular reports to senior management on performance against targets, market insights and opportunities for growth.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
o Lead, motivate and develop the sales & marketing team; set objectives, monitor performance, provide coaching and training.
o Set clear objectives and timelines for the team to achieve throughout the year with quarterly targets in place that align with the overall business goals. Develop clear, achievable plans that look ahead, specifically for:
Sales - Hotel & Residential
Marketing - Hotel / Residential / Food & Beverage
Budgeting - Spend across all channels
o Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless handover from sales to operations and consistent guest/resident experience.
o Work with external partners to enhance our commercial reach.
Customer & Market Focus:
o Ensure high standards of service and client satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle (initial inquiry ? contract ? handover ? follow-up).
o Develop strategic account plans for major clients, key markets or property segments.
o Maintain awareness of regulatory, market and local community issues that may affect sales or leasing activities.

Project management: Able to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure.
