Full-time or Part Time | Flexible Working (Home, hybrid and on-site)
Beaudesert has always been a place where people test themselves.
For over a century, groups have arrived here to build fires, pitch tents, climb hills, get lost, find themselves again -- and leave stronger than they arrived.
Now, Beaudesert itself is on a new course.
After a tough stretch, we're back on our feet. The finances are steady, a key contract has returned, and the future is open ground ahead. What we need now is someone ready to help us run the next section of the course.
That's where you come in.
Let's break it down like one of our many outdoor courses and activities and explain what you can expect from the role
THE ROLE
Firstly, this role sits at the heart of Beaudesert's next chapter. As our Sales& Marketing Manager, you'll take the lead on new income generation and helping drive and develop the brand through innovative marketing activities.
You'll work closely with our Trustees, turning ideas into action, enquiries into bookings, and good intentions into sustainable income.
No clipboard-clutching spectators here -- this is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up kind of role.
Now this is where the legs start to burn (in a good way).
You will:
Take charge of all sales activity -- following up past and new leads, responding to enquiries and turning interest into confirmed bookings
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, partners and supporters - including schools, scouts & guiding and corporate clients.
Plan and host open days, visits and outreach events
Forecast visitor income and prepare forecasts
Oversee marketing activity -- from website updates and social media to making sure grant funders get the recognition they deserve
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You don't need to have worked at an outdoor centre before -- but you do need to enjoy variety, responsibility and seeing real results.
You'll likely bring:
Experience in sales and marketing activities and have a proven track record in new sales generation.
You may have experience working or selling into further education (schools are a vital part of our income generation.)
A good understanding of marketing techniques, especially digital marketing (you will also be working with an outside agency who support us.)
Strong organisational and IT skills and an eye for detail
Confidence working with Trustees, staff, volunteers and customers alike
A self-starting mindset -- someone who enjoys building systems and watching them work
AND WHATS AT THE FINISH LINE FOR YOU...FOR NOW?
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a place with real history and purpose.
You'll have influence, autonomy and the chance to see the direct impact of your work -- not just on spreadsheets, but on people who come to Beaudesert to learn, grow and challenge themselves.
If you like your roles broad, meaningful and a little bit muddy, we'd love to hear from you.
The role is flexible for the right candidate and could be full or part time as well as hybrid/home working, albeit we would love you to be on site as needed (bring the wellies in the winter!)
