Carters Packaging have been established since 1975 and were acquired in April 2021, now part of MacFarlane Group PLC, the UK's largest packaging distributor. We are seeking to recruit an Internal Sales & Office Support Coordinator to join our established team based at our offices in Redruth. As a business we are passionate about providing full integrated and innovative packaging solutions augmented by outstanding customer service. As a group we are continuing to grow significantly and are always keen to attract talented new individuals to our business.



You'll be part of our busy office team who deal directly with customers and suppliers. You will interact with customers via e-mail, phone and in person, since we have a busy trade counter offering walk-in sales to the general public and local businesses. Your principal role will be to process email orders and serve customers on the phone and in-person, dealing with enquiries, quotes and offering excellent customer service, since the customer is at the heart of everything we do.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

Taking orders by telephone and e-mail (You need to be very comfortable on the phone as this is a required core skill). Serving walk-in customers at the trade counter. Prepare and send quotes. Process sales and purchase orders, and follow through to delivery. To be responsible for own admin. To chase suppliers. To support external sales rep. To liaise with internal staff/warehouse where required.

Do you have the correct profile ?

Reliable and Dependable. Strong sales skills & excellent telephone manner. Professional, confident, polite, helpful & friendly. Excellent planning skills, able to prioritise a varied workload to meet operational demands. Excellent verbal & written communication. Computer literate (word, excel, outlook & preferably sage 50). Flexible, multi-tasking - willing to undertake additional tasks in order to meet customers requirements and assist in other areas as may be required. Customer service focussed. Ability to fit in to a small but busy team, you undoubtedly will have a sense of humour.
