Position Overview
The
Sales Performance Coach
is responsible for developing, teaching, and coaching Fortem International's sales teams. A major part of this role involves
training new recruits with no prior sales experience
, helping them build strong foundational skills, confidence, and discipline. You will also coach experienced reps to elevate their performance and ensure consistent excellence.
The role requires strong familiarity with
Salesforce
, as this is the core CRM used for onboarding, training, performance management, and sales process discipline.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development for New Recruits
Teach and develop individuals
with no previous sales background
, guiding them from entry level to confident performers.
Run structured onboarding covering sales fundamentals, pitch delivery, discovery, call structure, and objection handling.
Conduct role-plays, practice calls, and hands-on exercises to build competence quickly.
Train new starters on
Salesforce
, ensuring they understand how to log activities, manage leads, update pipelines, and use dashboards effectively.
Coaching Experienced Sales Reps
Deliver targeted one-to-one coaching sessions to refine skills and boost performance.
Review live and recorded calls and provide clear, actionable feedback.
Create personalised development plans for reps at various stages of their career.
Sales Enablement & Training Program Design
Build structured training materials, workshops, and ongoing development programs customised for selling world-class exhibitions.
Align training with commercial goals, event positioning, and customer value propositions.
Keep Salesforce training documentation and workflow instructions updated.
Performance Tracking & Analysis
Use Salesforce dashboards and reports to analyse KPIs s, conversion rates, pipeline quality, and booking performance.
Identify performance gaps and recommend targeted interventions.
Track improvements and communicate progress to leadership.
Sales Process Excellence & Salesforce Adoption
Ensure strict adherence to sales processes and CRM usage across all teams.
Coach reps on maintaining accurate Salesforce records, pipeline hygiene, and activity discipline.
Collaborate with sales leadership to optimise Salesforce workflows, templates, and reporting structures.
Culture Building & Motivation
Foster a high-energy, supportive, growth-focused culture ideal for new learners and experienced sellers alike.
Reinforce resilience, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

QualificationsRequired
Experience in sales training, sales coaching, or sales leadership.
Strong ability to teach beginners and build skills from the ground up.
Practical knowledge of
Salesforce
, including dashboards, reporting, lead management, activity logging, and pipeline workflows.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse performance metrics and translate insights into coaching plans.
High emotional intelligence, patience, and passion for developing people.
Preferred
Experience in exhibitions, events, trade shows, or media sales.
Background in fast-paced, high-volume inside sales environments.
Experience optimising Salesforce usage within a sales team.
Coaching or training certifications (optional).
