The Role
As
Sales & Procurement Lead
, you will be the driving force behind our supply chain activities. You'll take ownership of customer relationships from first call to final delivery, combining sales acumen with procurement expertise.
You'll need a confident telephone manner to engage customers, ask the right questions, and uncover the root of complex and critical challenges -- then work with suppliers and internal teams to deliver the right solution. This is a hands-on role in a small high-skilled team, where curiosity, communication, and commercial drive are key, and you can make significant impact and influence on how we grow.
Key Responsibilities
Build rapport quickly and professionally through confident, purposeful telephone calls.
Proactively contact customers to identify needs and uncover opportunities.
Ask insightful questions to fully understand complex technical or operational challenges.
Maintain and grow relationships to maximise repeat business.
Source goods, materials, and services to meet client requirements.
Oversee import/export compliance, logistics planning, and transportation tracking.
Track and monitor purchase orders from placement through to delivery.
Highlight and resolve any delays, ensuring supplier lead times and shutdowns are understood for accurate forecasting.
Produce updates on sales performance, procurement activity, and supplier KPIs.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience
Proven sales and procurement experience within technical, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
Confident, engaging telephone manner with the ability to build trust quickly.
Inquisitive mindset -- able to probe for information and get to the heart of customer challenges.
Basic knowledge of logistics processes, and import/export regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; and CRM experience preferred.
Strong English communication skills (written & verbal).
Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
