About the Role:
Behind every great partnership is a great researcher. We're looking for a sharp, methodical Sales Researcher to help us identify the right institutions, people, and opportunities for our growing slate of collaborations.
You'll work closely with the CEO and Head of Partnerships to build smart, targeted lead lists, research relevant organisations, and help prepare the groundwork for meaningful outreach. This role is ideal for someone who's curious about the world, highly organised, and has a nose for finding the right contact in the right place.
What You'll Do:
Identify and research target institutions (e.g. universities, NGOs, research centres)
Build and maintain databases of potential collaborators and strategic contacts
Use online tools to find the right person at each organisation -- and how to reach them
Support in prepping outreach emails, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining CRM records
Monitor relevant announcements, grants, and public engagement initiatives for leads
What You Bring:
Meticulous attention to detail and strong online research skills
Comfortable navigating academic directories, funding bodies, LinkedIn, etc.
Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and basic CRM tools
A curious mind -- you enjoy learning about science, culture, and public-interest projects
Organised, self-motivated, and happy working behind the scenes
Bonus Points For:
Experience in a research, fundraising, comms, or outreach role
Knowledge of the UK and EU university/research landscape
Experience building lead lists or supporting business development in media, nonprofit, or education sectors
